Art at St. John's
Bodinnick, PL23 1LX
St. John's is one of Cornwall's smallest churches, set in the midst of the village of Bodinnick on the east side of the Fowey estuary. Originally the stables for the Old Ferry Inn it was gifted to the parish by the owner of the Inn in the mid-1940s. The building was converted and consecrated as a place of worship for the Bodinnick residents, and provides a peaceful space open to all. The Church is in a prime position on the way to Hall Walk with a regular footfall of walkers en route to Polruan who often rest in its lovely garden.
The Friends of St. John’s Charity is raising funds to maintain the fabric of the building, save the church from threat of closure, and secure its future as a place of worship.
Art at St John’s was launched in October 2022 and together with the Friends of St. John's has opened this unique venue as an exhibition space for the creative arts.
